The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) Technology Assessment Program develops systematic reviews, health technology assessments, and other reports at the request of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Coverage and Analysis Group. These reports are funded by an Interagency Agreement from CMS to AHRQ and used to inform national coverage policies, discussion at public Medicare Evidence Development and Coverage Advisory Committee (MedCAC) meetings, and/or for other policy considerations.
To get broad input from all stakeholders and interested parties, the AHRQ Technology Assessment Program will post draft reports for public comment. To meet the timelines for Medicare coverage decisions mandated by the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003, draft technology assessment reports will be available for public comment for a limited time. A notice will be sent out on the CMS Medicare Coverage and AHRQ Effective Health Care E-mail distribution lists 1 week before the posting of draft reports. Each report will be available for public comment for a total of 2 weeks.
Note: Review comments need to be resubmitted.
Review Steps
When a draft Technology Assessment report is available for review, you may review the draft report by completing the associated review form and then selecting "Submit" on the form.
